Delivery Details - Australia Post (Express Post)

We dispatch courier orders on Monday and Tuesdays only. We do not dispatch orders on Public Holidays

For delivery by Christmas Day, please place your order by midnight Sunday 19th December 2021 - this date may change as we are at the mercy of Australia Post for deliveries.

Due to COVID-19 and busy times of the year such as Christmas, there maybe significant delivery delays.

All goods will be freighted with Australia Post (Express Post). Purchasing perishable goods via courier delivery is at your own risk.

All goods will be packed in a polystyrene reusable esky with a freezer pack. All goods will have to be signed for and delivered during business hours (so please give us a daytime address).

We cannot deliver to PO Boxes. If possible please leave us a contact telephone number.  We want our goods to arrive in great shape to you, our customer.

When you receive your delivery, you may find that the ice bricks have melted a tad and the box temperature is a little higher than your fridge temp. Please put your cheese into your fridge immediately as this will stop the ripening process. Your cheese will not be harmed, still taste delicious, but it may have an aroma like smelly cheese does!

Courier orders are shipped via Australia Post on Mondays and Tuesdays only. Orders are not shipped on public holidays. 

If your delivery does not arrive on time or spoiled due to Australia Post (Express Post) being unable to deliver, we do not accept responsibility and no refunds.

Click and Collect

Please place your order by 12noon the day before pick up day. Click and Collect is available on the below days.

When your order is ready to be picked up, you will be notified, usually between 10am and 12noon. Please do not arrive unless you have been notified.

Please pick up from the loading dock at the back of the Hall of Food - Roche Estate and call once you have arrived and a staff member will bring out your click and collect. Please wear a mask and physical distance.

Can I cancel my order?

An order can only be cancelled up to the point it is despatched. Please contact us immediately via (02) 4998 6713 or info@smellycheese.net.au. Once your order has been despatch you will receive an email. After that point you will need to accept delivery.

Changes to orders

If there are any changes to the delivery address or instructions it is the customer’s responsibility to inform us immediately prior to despatch.

Freight Charges via Australia Post (Express Post)

We charge a minimum rate of $30.00 plus GST for up to 5kg depending on your location. For orders exceeding that weight, please contact us by email or call (02) 4998 6713. The minimum weight of cheese that can be ordered is 150g. This is due to the texture of the cheese and the possibility of it crumbling if cut too small.

Export Restrictions

Due to the nature of perishable goods, deliveries will only be made within Australia. We do not ship internationally.

Orders are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays only. Orders are not shipped on Public Holidays.

Some of our cheese such as fresh cream based cheese cannot be shipped as they ferment and do not maintain temperature. It cannot be guaranteed they will arrive in a satisfactory condition. These and other similar cheeses can only be bought in store.

Because of the perishable nature of the goods, a person must be available to receive the shipment. If your delivery does not arrive on time or spoiled due to Australia Post (Express Post) being unable to deliver, we do not accept responsibility and no refunds.

Orders are shipped with Australia Post (Express Post) based on their rates.

We do not ship internationally.
